Transforming Bigotry and Hate: From Awareness to Action

An exciting, engaging all-day conference: 2/1/2020

From an interactive workshop on "Managing our Prejudices," to a panel of six dynamic faith leaders, an inspiring talk by former white supremacist, and engaging roundtable discussions, our Feb. 1, 2020 conference at the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at FAU was a rousing success! With more than 175 registrants,  this day touched many lives and helped us reach out into the Palm Beach County-Broward County community with thoughtful discussion and uplifting concepts about how

each of us can make a difference.

Featured Guest Speakers

Gail Price-Wise, president of the Florida Center for Cultural Competence, led us in an interactive, engaging and powerful presentation entitled "Managing Our Prejudices."

Arno R. Michaelis, nationally-known speaker and former white supremacist, shared a moving and inspiring presentation about his journey from hate to love.  Once a leader of a worldwide racist skinhead organization and lead singer of the hate-metal band Centurion, Michaelis is now an educator for Serve 2 Unite, and is the author of the book “Life After Hate.”
