 Thanks so much to all who joined us at our JAM Slam on September 12! We are thrilled with how JAM Slam went, and so enjoyed seeing you all and sharing this wonderful gathering with you. We felt the same warm sense of community, welcome and friendship we always feel when we gather at a JAM event, and were grateful to be together despite the physical separation.

  •  Life Coach and meditation teacher Cary Bayer is a former columnist for the National Lampoon, and the author of Trump Off the Wall (That Mexico's Gonna Pay For). His recently published mini-book Covid Comedy: When Laughter is the Best Medicine, and his forthcoming book, Spiritual Lampoons, highlight the importance of taking life lightly - even politics and religion.

  •  Kris Drumm, also known as Sister Kris, is an ordained interfaith minister and serves as clergy at the Darshan Center for Spiritual Evolution and Assistant Dean at Sacred Journey Interfaith Seminary. She is a LCSW with advanced certification in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, and has a private practice in Oakland Park. Kris serves as faculty of the Florida Institute for Group Facilitation and is a published author of articles on group work.
  • Sister Kris considers herself an Affirmation Artist, and has published a deck of affirmation cards called “Affirmations From My Big S Self.” Her poem “Motherbeat” was put to music and recorded on Ubaka Hill’s CD “Shapeshifters.” A longtime passionate believer in peace and justice, Kris’s feminist activism in the early anti-nuke movement is documented in the film “Girl on Girl: A Documentary.”
  • Kris is a spouse, mother and grandmother who resides in Wilton Manors and serves on the Board of JAM & ALL Interfaith.

  •  Roseprimevere Jacques is an abstract artist living in South Florida and specializing in non-traditional methods of painting, including both acrylic on canvas and mixed media pieces that include collages. The joyful energy of her art invites us to celebrate life.
  • Born in Gonaives, Haiti, Roseprimevere was always fascinated by the various colorful art expressions in her daily life. She started to paint a few years ago to cope with complicated grief. As she explains, "In those days, it was my only way to express the inexpressible. Painting has since given me a renewed excitement for life." Roseprimevere's art has been shown in South Florida exhibitions and in private collections throughout the western hemisphere.

  • Suhir Blackeagle-Jones sees herself as a Manifested, Purposed Thought. As a Black-Indian and Khemetic (Egyptian) Priestess, she has committed over 37 years to personal and global peace. Her work facilitating/performing/teaching Mother-Rite traditions demonstrates that All is Energy that's Interconnected, and She invites all to tap into your Earth-kind connections.

  •  Aaron Krause is a native of Miami Beach and has played the piano by ear since he was three. He is a Classical Reform Jew. Aaron works as a freelance writer, belongs to Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El in Plantation and plays a variety of music, but enjoys playing Jewish music most since it is eclectic and moving.

  • Rev. Darby Mackenzie Line is an ordained interfaith minister, a life celebrant, and a JAM & ALL Interfaith board member who describes herself as an Interfaith Alchemist. Like the medieval alchemist who mixed unlikely diverse elements to produce gold, she believes bringing together diverse people and traditions creates its own kind of gold: a more patient, peaceful and tolerant world. She honors diversity and celebrates life by creating personalized inter-faith ceremonies to mark life's milestones and transitions.

  • In Piper and Nightingale, two stellar musicians team up to create music with messages that mean a lot to them. Piper Spencer plays double bass, ukulele, percussion, hand chimes and vocals; Laura Sue, the Silver Nightingale is a flautist, kazooist and composer. Playing together, they've supported a wide range of community events from Refugee Sunday to College Brides Walk, featuring Laura Sue's political rewrites of beloved traditional rock and folk songs.
  • Piper is an educator in Broward County and a U.S. Navy veteran, active in social justice organizations supporting equality and respect for all and working to solve community problems. She performs with the Broward Symphony Orchestra and New River Orchestra, among other South Florida ensembles.
  • A lifelong community activist, Laura Sue shares her music regularly at interfaith, environmental, peace and veterans events, performing solo and in spirited ensembles. Her decades of playing music for hospice patients earned her the President's Volunteer Service Award presented by President Obama. She's also a respected arts journalist, a published author, and a member of the JAM & ALL Interfaith Board.
